Of course Haye presents a serious thread to Wlad, this doesn't need debating. Vitali, on the other hand, has Haye for breakfast.
Some on here (not me) call the guy in your avatar Calslappy. All kinds here on ESB. Relax, DH has a big offense - and little else. True, you can't be sure - as in 100% - of what will happen. But that's true of what might happen to DH. The Haye huggers can point to Wlads losses to HWs - and dismiss his much better record - but seem to forget DHs loss to a 40 year old CW :tong If Haye doesn't **** himself first :yep
He lost that fight due to stamina issues. It's better than it was but still nowhere near good enough. He needs to get out of the damn gym and onto the roads and hills more often....ask Calzaghe.
atsch You ****ing ******. It took Wlad 5 knockdowns as well before the fight with Barrett was stopped. Again atsch
Hayemaker range is closer by than steelhammer range. Haye will get knocked out trying to land his left hook.
Haye has more power than Wlad? Straight punchs hit the target faster than loopey punchs. Haye has already been dropped at cruiserweight.
Wow, this is a passionate topic! I guess almost everyone agrees (even if it's rarely put "nicely" ;-) ) that Wlad vs. Haye is the more interesting matchup. I agree, a healthy Vitali would not be too likely to lose against Haye. Wlad vs. Haye has lots of potential to be an exciting fight, with (probably) several knockdowns. I have to believe that Wlad has more (single punch) power, but Haye is willing to exchange more and throws with almost reckless abandon. I think Haye's best chance for victory comes in the first 4 to 5 rounds. I wouldn't bet on Haye pulling a Sanders on Wlad: 1. Wlad is more experienced now 2. Corrie was a (somewhat bigger than Haye) Southpaw 3. few people thought (including Klitschko) that an old, part time boxer could beat him He would not fight Haye the way he fought Sanders. I think Wlad has the edge, but it could go either way. Obviously Haye must be good! Most 6' 3", 215lb boxers in the world have no chance against either Klitschko and wouldn't be worth discussing. ;-)
Vitali will KO Haye if this fight ever happens. If Haye on the other hand fights Wladimir, he at least has a chance of winning (by KO). Wladimirs chance of KO'ing Haye is pretty big though.
Why do we know for a fact that Wlad cant take a punch, mate?? Sanders brutally knocked him out.Right! Anyone can be knocked out by a big puncher.Even the elite fighters are only human beings. He wasnt really knocked out by neither Ross Puritty nor by Lamon Brewster. He ran out of gas against both fighters. To say that Wlad has a glass chin is a pure exagerration. There are better chins out there than his ones, but that doesnt mean that he has a glass chin and is an easy victim for any opponent who can punch a little bit. Haye has genuine firepower, but we dont know for sure whether he is able to hold the forth when under fire himself.I somehow doubt it!
We know Wlad has a bad chin because every time he gets hit by something half decent he either goes down or turns to jelly. I'll give him the benefit of doubt against Ross The Boss and put that down to youth and inexperience, however, Sanders rattled him bad very early and finished him shortly thereafter and Brewster most definitely KO'd him with punches, it had nothing to do with blood sugar levels, Vaseline or any other bull**** that the Klitites came out with after that bout. He's been down something like 13 times in his career. The only time Haye has been down is whilst weight-drained fighting at Cruiserweight. He will gain resilience with the move up, especially in his legs, as did Cotto after he moved up from 140 to 147. And why do people give Haye no chance against Vitali? Watch the first few rounds of Vitali vs Sanders, I remember Corrie having Vilati actually running around the ring trying to get away from him after he got badly stung once or twice. Of course we all know how that fight ended but anyone who thinks that chin is Chuvalo-esque is sadly mistaken.
