It was only yesterday I was re-watching Briggs-Adamek and I found myself thinking exactly the same thing. Such a good boxer, if only he had got some of the breaks Green and Mundine have gotten, he would of been a 'world champ' easy. The thought of Briggsy and Green slugging it out would have been something..

He made fights exciting and I enjoyed watching him fight in the ring.

Even though he was lacking a bit in the skill department, he always seemed to find a way to land on his opponent.

He's also the only guy out there thats made a Stipe Drews fight somewhat exciting. :yep

Yeah loved Briggsy. I always thought his body shape and power would have been better suited at 168 but in reality maybe he was just a fraction below the elite guys anyway?
With a great chin, heart and power he had qualities and style that work for guys like Margarito, for example, difference being he didn't have the crucial size advantage at LH.

Adamek doing such great things lately only enhances the status of Briggs but he peaked in those wars and was pretty much gonski thereafter.

If you haven't already, grab his book... it's a belter.

I always thought he seemed a bit small for a light Heavy, I think he would of been a monster at SM

Exactly, especially when u see a guy like Kessler fighting at 168lbs.

Surely Briggs is not a bigger man than Kess

He tried to come back 2 times but he has if i recall correctly a nervous system problem . . . Basically he couldn't train/spar and when he did he coult keep his balance, felt dizzy e.t.c He planned to come back as a SMW too before he left it again...

I think FOX should look at Briggs being their permanent special comments guy provided he is not in his brothers corner.:deal
