The quality of a boxer should be judged on their achievements, and performance; not on the media hype that surrounded them.

Favorite to beat Joe, but what does that mean??? It only means that more money was coming in for Lacy to win..I think that the experts and many fans didnt feel like Lacy was the fave...

Joe also didnt ruin Lacy, he doent hit hard enough to ruin anyone...Lacy doesnt question himself in terms of being able to take shots, he just isnt skilled enough to beat elite fighters, unless he can land some big shots...But the point your missing is that Omar Shieka did to Lacy in the second half of the fight what Joe did from the start, which is dominate him, Vanderpool dominated him early then got knocked out, the luster on Lacy was starting to fall off from those fights before he fought Calzaghe.

the shoulder issue was really there from before Lacy even turned pro...It was an old injury that he re injuried in his fight after losing to Calzaghe, Lacy said that his shoulder felt better going into the fight with Taylor then it did at anypoint in his career...Some will say that he didnt throw it vs Taylor but that was part of the plan, they felt that he would be better throwing the righthand because they thought that they could get Taylor with that shot, and it keep the faster Taylor from countering with his right over the top of his left.

Lacy split rounds with Wiggins whom noone had ever heard from before or since. Then he fought life and death with a shell of Sheika. And so on. Lacy was the most fabricated fighter of recent times.

He is not bad, but he is just below a fighter like Andrade - and he always has been. It just only dawns on some poeple now.

I am a Joe C fan, but I am not a good enough lier to stand behind any claim that Lacy was beating legends and then suddenly Joe ruins him.

In fact Lacy's level of opposition after the Calzaghe fight has been significantly higher than his level before the Calzaghe fight. And of course Lacy's performance is accordingly. Tsypko for example is far better than anyone Lacy fought before Calzaghe. Even Manfredo. Remember that Pemberton was touted as one of Lacy's best wins? Well, Manfredo later stopped Pemberton!

This is not magic what Lacy has done. It is all pretty obvious and straight forward.
