Eveyone struggles with Johnson now. His confidence has been sky high since he kod Jones and it has made him a much better fighter, I hope you're not trying to say Kessler would have an easy time with Johnson.

And you're just going to outright disagree with this one. That 40 year old Tarver knocks Kessler spark out.:D

Name the SMWs at the moment from the USA though???

    Allan Green??
Kelly Pavlik is back at 160 for good....
There's Taylor but he doesn't want Kessler
Winky in ineffective at anything above 160
    Lacy is finished

I don't see anyone knocking Kessler out....he's beatable as Calzaghe showed but he's tough as nails and rarely takes a big shot

Plus Tarver is a LHW, Mikkel is a SMW as it stands so that fight isn't on the horizon

Calzaghe didn't beat the crap out of Kessler....he outpointed and outworked him....but Mikkel made more of a dent on Joe than Joe did on Mikkel

And Taver/Johnson are both LHWs that MIGHT beat Kessler but that's not a certainty, plus what credit would he get?? People like you would just say that they're Dawson's leftovers

He did get the chance to, but he turned the fight down.

This thread is a joke though, and I'm confident Kessler will occupy himself in the p4p lists in the coming years.

Statements like this are why Kessler is becoming a joke on this forum. His team came out and said that Dawson is too big for him, yet people still try to claim Kessler would knock out Dawson. If Kessler could beat anyone at LHW, he would've moved up to lure Calzaghe into a fight. Instead, he stayed at SMW in order to fight bums for a paper title. Besides Calzaghe, Hopkins, Johnson, Tarver, and Dawson all beat Kessler. A few others probably would as well.

Dawson would get KO'd by Kessler's power if they fought at 168 upto say 170

He's more of a hype job than Mikkel.......that's for sure

And the vacant WBA belt isn't a paper title at all.....he fought an average joe to win the belt, but as it stands he holds a good title in the SMW division

Kessler is about as big a SM as you can get, he would surely have no problem with weight or power at LHW, i dont see why not !

Kessler's eye was busted up and he won 3, maybe 4 rounds. Joe barely had a scratch on him.

That's not the point. The point is that you try to downgrade Dawson's wins over both of them, yet both of them would beat Kessler.

Dawson is less proven than Kessler that's for sure......they are both good boxers but Kessler has acheived more so far

People are too confident in what Dawson may achieve at the moment cos calls out Calzaghe for a fight in Wales...but that was merely a media ploy by his management to be seen and heard on the back of RJJ and JC

The Tarver win was impressive, the Johnson one wasn't.....and I'm not really sure who else he's fought of any note that would automatically favour him over Kessler, other than Adamek who is nothing amazingly special at world level

Johnson has made a career out of losing to much lesser fighters than Mikkel Kessler and Tarver scraped past Elvir Muriqi.

    This is a joke thread.

Winky wanted no part in kessler because he wasn't a big enough name and now look at who he's fighting. kessler also wants calzaghe or hopkins. does this really sound like someone who is ducking

    No they wouldn't

Clinton Woods beat Johnson, as did Sheika, as did Dawson (barely)

Tarver has the better chance but Kessler can hold his own against anyone
