Is it Pac's fault for signing first with GBP then afterwards signing with Top Rank?

No, Pac has a 6th grade education, barely speaks English, and spends money like water. Hoya came up to him with a suitcase full of money, what was he supposed to do?

not pac's fault. it is obviously his lawyer's fault. he is a lawyer and he should have known that the existing contract with arum diallowed pac from signing any other contract until after the fight with morales. pac, with the advise of his dumbass lawyer, signed the contract with gbp before the fight against morales so it was null and void due to the existing contract

so no. it is not pac's fault. he pays good money so that people will help him read contracts and stuff and the lawyer clearly did not do his job.

    the end

It's all Oscar's fault. Oscar is a shady, money hungry, *******. How much ****in money does that guy need? He got Pac alone and tried to swindle him into signing with Golden Boy. Oscar should be ashamed of himself. There is not one person in boxing for whom I have less respect for than Oscar.

How about posting the FACTS of this rather then just hearsay about the situation. Knee jerk reactions aren't the equivalent to well thought answers.

I only say that because I don't know the whole deal between what happened. I mean, I read a bunch on the situation, but they don't always tell the story.

DID Pac actually sign a legal document w/ his attorney present (or not...not required) w/ Golden Boy?

Oh common . . . I'm a pacfan . . . but that's a shallow excuse. The fact is he is with Atty Gacal when he signed with GBP.

We can call it a mistake or a **** up on Pac's side . . . but still we can't point fault at anybody else but him. He signed it.

**** that. Guys like Pac get into these situations all the time. The reason for it is because they are not business men. Pac is a fighter, not a sleezy suit. Oscar is a sleezy suit and knew exactly what he was doing. He took advantage of a naive guy that trusted him. Unfortunately, Pac maybe making that same mistake again by trusting that low life turncoat, Freddy Roach.

The other promoters in the game would never resort to such tactics...

I remember Manny wanted to keep everything under wraps (probably from Arum most of all) until the right opportunity to announce it came along as he was in the onset of his preparation for a big fight and Oscar just couldn't keep his big mouth shut and had to tell the whole world about it the very next day. I think he just wanted to rub it in Arum's face how he stole Manny right from under his nose and the old man was forced to put his Harvard educated legal mind to work. As far as shrewdness goes, Arum is still tops.
