The only guys who would beat Kessler now in my opinion is Dawson, Johnson, and Hopkins or calzaghe in a rematch. That's it. These four would expose Kessler's lack of ability of fighting in close. That being said, he would beat everyone else. Face the truth Kessler is the ****ing man at 168 but 175 is a different story

Just Hopkins among those he hasn't faced. Taylor is a good test. A similar, but less powerful and a bit more flawed. He gets to Dawson.

what does Taylor bring to the table that Kessler can't handle? Jermain has no stamina, lousy footwork, throws loopy shots, and power is overrated. If they fight, Kessler would box circles around Taylor maybe stop him

A lot of people think Taylor will beat Kessler.

It will be very gratifying to see them eat crow if the fight comes off.

Kessler has said that his optimum weight is around 166, so that leaves 160, catch-weight inbetween 160-168 and 168. If we consider other weight-classes that he himself is not considering then I think we have to include these: Vitaly, Haye, Wlad and Povetkin. And ad to that that Taylor, Abraham, Pavlik, Adamek and Macerenelli all have a decent shot as well.

So all in all (at least) eight guys that could beat Kessler!

Dawson at 168, would likely lose. at 175, he'd likely win
    Kesslaer should stay at 168

Dawson and Hopkins would likely be favourites, Taylor has an outside chance.

Sorry but you don't get knocked out by Pavlik and expect o beat a guy that is twice as good as him. Taylor wouldn't stand a chance against Kessler.

Dawson destroys Kessler in any weight class. I dont think Kessler would win a round.

Hopkins would beat Kessler somewhere around 9-3, depending on how many rounds Hopkins decides to take off during the fight.

    Taylor would edge him.

No offense but you sound like a hater. That's just a bit unreasonable. Let me balance this out a little bit with the perspective of someone who really likes the guy but recognizes his limitations.

Dawson definitely beats Kessler, but probably not a total shutout. Dawson's not flawless. Yet.

Hopkins-Kessler would be tough to pick. The Bernard that showed up to maul Pavlik would contest very evenly. A more typical recent Hops performance results in Kessler eking out (or losing) a close, ugly decision.

Kessler decisions Taylor or stops him late.

you've never seen kesler fight making statements like that.

Taylor edges the canvas as he goes out from a perfect straight 1-2.

Hopkins isn't busy enough to catch catlike kessler cold, and dawson is too chinny. Kessler has a 50/50 against hops or dawson and smokes
    taylor's boots.
