Come on. The pendulum has almost gone the other way now.

Jermain has only lost in two fight where he was compatitive in both and probably ahead in one until the stoppage. Apart from that he has nebver loist and has met A-fighters such as Hopkins, Winky and Spinks.

NOONE else at 168 can muster a similar CV, not even Kessler.

So to question him in a fight against somewhat unproven (yet, excting) Froch is going in the other dirrection.

Sure the Yanks have taken some hits lately due to overrating in their media - however this should not make boxing fans go overbeard and question every single US boxer. A boxer who beat Hopkins in two close fights should not have to be drawn into this debate of "US and Hype".

Spinks is boring, but underrated. In fact, I think he would beat most champs at 154 and 160.

The fact that you never saw Pascal fight explains your position. Most people who saw BOTH fighter in action are picking Froch. Guess why?

Froch has beaten previous world champions although being on the end of their careers, is unbeaten himself and is fighting Pascal(also unbeaten) on his home turf.About him not fighting a "live"opponent are we to say Pascal is?I don`t,he hasn`t got a sparkling resume himself.I think Froch has been in with better opposition, his first 15 fights were better than even Calzaghes` first 15.I think Pascal will get ko`d.

Your talking as if Reid was some sort of competiton for Froch, yes he was shot to **** be he was totally overpowered and outboxed for 5 rounds.

Well done though it shows you have a very good understanding of reality tv boxing.

why is there alot of hate against froch...pascal is clearly the less proven. almost gettign koed by pittman. i thought the ikeke fight prooved that he doesnt know how to get past a jab and th escore cards didnt show the full fight it was about 3 roudns to pascal at least. he jumps in and does a roy jonesesque left hook has a nice fast right hand but is a bit sloppy and his jab is pretty much unused.

pittman just threw a unimgainitive ritgh cross followed by a left hook and caught him on the way out. legs all over the place for pascal.

i think becuase froch speaks english more people can understand how much of a **** he is...pascal on the other hand is just as if not more arrogant but speaks french and cant get his point of view of himself in english.

it's strange becuase both men have the same boxing attitude of low left hands lead right crosses and jumping in but both fork off in different directions. froch looks to ko his opponants with his walking uppercut. while pascal looks to fient and make the man a fool.

Being based in Montreal, I like to think that I know a little bit about Pascal. Not so much about Froch.

I have seen some of Froch's fights and haven't been impressed.

That being said, I've never been impressed with Pascal either.

As I said in a previous post, it all depends on if Pascal managed to fix a few flaws he has (Had).

1-His defense; He needs to be carefull about hot dogging. Leaves his hands low to encourage punches since he is a counter puncher. But he doesn't seem to be quick enough to evade all of the big bombs as we saw against Pitman.
2-His chin; Can't fix that. He's going to have to work on defense to paliate.
3-Work rate; He fights in bursts. He's got some nifty combos but doesn't seem to be able to capitalize on them when he connects. Fights 1 minute a round.
4-Shoulder injury; Torn rotator cuff. He's fought his two last fights with it. Has taken some time off since so everything indicates it is healed but, as we saw with Lacy, the power he had might be gone.

If he manages to fix all this, he will win. These are a lot of ifs though.

He made a lot more money fighting Lacy. JT is all about purse size. Can you blame him? The belts grow less and less meaningful as the ABC's come up with crap mandatories.
