Yes. There's a chance he won't be the same or he won't have the killer instinct...I think/hope not but it's certainly possible. I think he should fight berto or cintron.
I Agree, Berto or Cintron...And go out '09 Vs. Margarito. (Tho in reality, I would love to see Cotto Vs. Cintron 1st.)
I hope he is able to come back and do well, i think he can beat Margo in a rematch (it would have to be the fight of his life) and then he wouldnt have much trouble with the other people at WW
That's certainly in discussions, but by no means final. I wouldn't be shocked if Arum is able to pull something out of his butt and have a bigger name fight for the same interim title. As for who he should fight next, I think he should face a solid journeyman, someone along the lines of Sebastian Lujan (who would also help Cotto prepare for a Margarito rematch). Cintron or Collazo would be just fine as well (and honestly, I don't think either of those guys is significantly better than Lujan).
As far as I know Jennings for the FULL WBO title is in the pipeline as Williams is moving up, getting an easy win would be good for him after such a hard loss. Also winning a belt brings more to the table when considering bigger, better fights in the future.
If he wants to restore his place, he should fight either Paul Williams or Andre Berto. Prolly Berto first because he doesn't have that killer reach of Williams. Either of those two fights (If he wins) would put the Margarito fight right out of everybody's minds.
Thing is whats the rush? He doesnt have to jump in with a guy like Williams after hvaing sucha brutal loss, let him knock over Jennings, then let him look for bigger challenges. Williams will hopefully go to 154 where he belongs.
No huge rush, I agree. He could do a warmup to get back in the game. But he should focus on a big, scary name in relatively short order. Then he'd be right back on top.
