tbh degale has almost managed to surpass khan's cockiness even before turning pro so i can easily see him being hated on.

i'll reserve judgement till he's had a few fights

He was subdued in those interviews on the Bunce show. I think he has a split personality. Sometimes he blows so much hot air that he puts Amir to shame.

He (and Tim Bradley) came across pretty well in those interviews.

Haye got bashed enough pre-Mormeck win. Now Haye is the man with support.

Degayle see's himself as a future champ with a fien record, is it talk or the real deal?

Im looking at Degale in a very positive way, our first 2 olympic stars have been duds, so ya know third time lucky!

I like DeGales attitude, but signing with Warren we know he'll be protected way too much.

Wonder what the odds will be for him to become a professional world champ...?

never really saw the logic in him staying amateur. its not like he was miles ahead of the competition at his weight, he just had a good run at that olympics, chances are, especially given the scoring in amateur boxing, he'd have probably missed out on gold in london, and then turned pro without the hype and ofc no big money contract.

I cant blame Degale for turning pro. He has to secure his future. But by the same token this kid isnt ready for the pro`s. And wont go far at all unless he really learns his trade deep on the undercard.

Hope he does well, establishes himself and then leaves when he wants to go to world level and has used up his free WBO shot every Warren fighter gets.

De Gale did well to win Gold but the pro ranks is a different kettle of fish.
He will end up like Audley. He aint got the skills or metal for the pro game.

I agree but with the million pound deals it sounds like Deale is trying to secure I dont think 6 rounders at the york hall are gona cut it...

He is going to have to hit the ground running if he turns pro as the whole country is expecing him to succeed where Khan and Harrison have failed.
