    Close.It was actually 20 months.Only 2 years and 4 months out.:D

    It all looked so promising.If only he hadn't been assassinated at the hands of Ruth Roper,on Barbara Walter's couch in 1989. :think
    Who can forget that enigmatic smile ,that flickered across his lips as the .44 bullets perforated his pectoralis major muscles????     :-(

    Nick, that is it in a nut shell. He crushed guys or he lost. And that's why so many people hark on and on about his mythical prime. People watched in awe as he dismantled contenders and then refused to believe it when he lost.

    Well...Yes,it's the combination of two things-him punching technique and how few punches he took in his fights ,at least upto '88.
