Relax(dont keep your shoulders so tight), breathe.

some extended sessions on the old floor to ceiling bag should loosen those shoulders of yours!

One of my sparring buddies and I always tag team the double end bad. Ill be on one side, he'll be on the other and were take turns just doing simple slapping punch combos. We'll do numerous rounds of that at a work out session.

Aren't you the one who trains like crazy? what was it K1, boxing, etc? and you said that you train in a police gym. its been what. a year or more and you still asking for advice. don't you have a coach?

go with the flow of ur body. just to get out of being stiff, don't think nething about boxing or nething art that u practice and just punch the heavy bag. doesn't matter where ur hands r b4 or after the punch, just do that to notice ur body's fluid movements and go from there. u don't always have to throw a combination that u were taught, throw whatever ur comfortable throwing

SLOW DOWN, and find your natural rhythm while you train. This is something a coach can only give you pointers on; you must " discover " it yourself. In time, it will become a muscle memory.

I also recommend improving your flexibility a tad by using rubber band like exercises.
