**** what you say.. the average not-so-knowledgeable boxing fan recognizes Sugar Shane moreso than Margarito. And these fans' money is just as green as everyone else's. Monetarily speaking, Sugar Shane is just as much of a draw for HBO as Margarito.

To me it says that Margarito would have to be an idiot to draw 50/50 with the Mosley of today. That is a disrespectful offer to the champion.

Think about it. He accepts 50/50 from a man who is not on top, while he is on top, whats to stop the next opponent from wanting the same share?

He has pride. Enough pride that he is not going to be stepped on during negotiations. This to me was not about money as much as it was about pride.

Now what Mayweather did? That wasn't pride talking. That was fear. You don't walk away from a man when you are getting 8 to 1 what he is getting. No comparison no way no how.

Name recognition didn't get half the stars of yesteryear even money with then champ. This is how it works. You don't treat the champ like you are on even terms with him and expect him to deal. Mosley wasn't needed. He has no title. He has no number one ranking. And he has no prime to call his own. He's just there to be beaten, which he will be.

 

People complaint about DLH fights all the time. Well, this was just another dirty trick by Golden Boy promotions. Why the hell Margarito needs to go 50/50 with Mosley?????? Mosley is not champion.
