I think Floyd. Is there anyone smarter in the ring than him?

Mayweather definately has the style needed to beat a guy like Calzahge. A guy with Floyd's skillset would pose many of the same problems for Calzaghe that Hopkins did.

Perhaps not, but you have to factor in Calzaghe's almost unparalleled ability to adjust to his opponent mid-fight.

I agree. B-Hop is a tough one to figure out, but Calzaghe did figure him out - during the course of the fight at that.

good list, but with the elite guys you always have to factor in the intangibles. Alot of times that's what determines these matchups

Hopkins was basically only throwing one punch in that fight. For some reason it took Calzaghe 6 rounds to discover that Hopkins was only throwing that straight right. It's not saying much that he was able to figure that out.

Well, Joe is fast and you dont just pot shoot Joe. Will not work. I go with Joe because his style is more unique. Mayweather is good, but fights in a very traditional style. Joe's style is unique in boxing and I would go so far to say that his style has won him fights. I understadn he doesnt want rematches.

So if they fought once, Joe would win.

    Mayweather

Basically his better defense and better power would get him the win. Calzaghe isnt that hard to hit, he has a good workrate but Mayweather has great stamina himself, he just normally doesnt have to use it.

Mayweather also has good skills on the inside and he is hard to hit even in the clinches because he hides well behind that shoulder.

I dont think Calzaghe's workrate and speed would be enough, I think Mayweather slips/blocks enough shots and lands enough counters ( and the better more accurate shots) to get the UD.

No he does not. Mayweather's style is hardly traditional.

I think that what PBF showed in the Hatton fight, that he can be a physical fighter if he needs to be and that he has the stamina if he needs it.

The hatton camp underestimated PBF's conditioning. Normally PBF likes to box but Hattons style of always coming forward forced PBF to fight a more physical fight and stay on the inside.

I dont think that PBF would let a guy like Calzaghe get away with winning the rounds just by throwing more. I think this fight would force PBF to be more physical than usual, similiar to the hatton fight but that he is capable of fighting that kind of fight and winning.

PBF's conditioning, accuracy, defense, speed and better power would win him this fight.
