http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshh3YdRtBKIv3L61NU0 says de la hoya is a ***** says hatton is a ***** and justs runs his mouth imo this is hurting his legacy
Floyd was hated cuz his fights were never as entertaining as his mouth, case closed. While the skill was respected it was not until Hatton brought the excitement did Floyd actually look entertaining.
Nobody hates Floyd really anymore. Just recently there was a Sweet Pea V Mayweather thread that was about 60-40 in favor of Pea. Usually its about 80-20. Just shows the longer a fighter stays inactive, the higher his stock rises. People miss the excitement Floyd brought to the sport of boxing.
**** off with that! Anyone that is P4P number one is going to get huge fan base and tv views (especially if they're american). It goes with the tag. The sport is better off without him. Great skilled fighter but an excitement machine he was not. Often put on boring displays. It was his annoying fan boys that built him up. Guys like Margarito, Cotto, Williams and Mosley are all more exciting and they actually fight each other.
Reason that Floyd was hated was because is was the clear cut best fighter in the world without a doubt, and every time in boxing that that has happened that fighter was largely hated. Reason because there were more people that liked other fighters then liked that fighters. There has been times were there wasnt a clear cut p4p fighter and those fighters didnt get near the hate. Robinson, ALI, Leonard, Jones, and then Floyd those were the only times were you have had clear cut THIS IS THE BEST FIGHTER ON THE PLANET WITHOUT A DOUBT. In other times there were a couple of fighters that were in the running...Chavez, Whitker, Toney, Norris those fighters were amoung those that were all seen as p4p, none were ever the clear cut guy and all were active about the same time...Now were are in another one of those periods were there isnt a clear cut number one...Pac is too flawed and lost too many fights, Calzaghe has a very iffy resume, Marquez OFFICIALLY lost to Pac, but he really won so he has his backers...In a year or two we will once again have a clear cut GUY and the hate will flow again. I know that people will come up with a bunch of bull**** excuses for why they dont/didnt like Floyd and to them it all makes sense but in the end its all bull****...Just as it was when they Claimed that Robinson only fought when he wanted to, Or they didnt like Ali because he was a Muslim, which had nothing to do with boxing, or Leonard ducking anything that was close to being a good fighter, to the same for Jones and Floyd...History will show that those guys did indeed fight the best and like Ray Robinson and Ali its only a matter of time before the haters come around to admitt it.
How does a fighter's mouth or actions outside the ring hurt his legacy? What does hurt his legacy is retiring (although I think he'll be back) when his division is so strong? Yeah he's already a great, but his standing would be even stronger with a win over one of the top guys in the terrific WW division.
thing is ali and leonard are two of favorites of all time floyd is just a ignorant dickhead who runs his mouth way to much and the **** he says is junk hes not funny like ali was ali was a master at the art of talkin **** floyd just sounds stupid
Of course the top guys are going to get a lot of criticism, but you have to be blind to think that was the only reason PBF was hated. Its his raging fans that spew ****ing nonsense about how great he is that is the main contributor. People start making these unfounded claims and respectable fans need to put them in check. The blind nuthuggers and bandwagon jumpers make people dislike the top boxers. PBF was a talker, not a very good one, but he said a lot of crap and acted like a twat for the majority of his career, how can anyone like him the way he acted?? Money Mayweather.....says it all.
because hes acting like a stupid ****** this dude makes all black people look bad the **** hes saying about obama makes obama look bad hes saying dlh and hatton are pussys when he hugged them up and was respectful after the fights now there pussys he should be thanking them both since there names got him the money to buy that **** hes showing in that video
You hit it right on the head. And that is what I mean by bull**** excuses..fighters talk ****, some are very disrespectful to other fighters, but it all depends on who the fighter is.
Mayweather seemed to enjoy being hated and to play the villain, perhaps as a mental ploy on himself to make sure he trained as hard as possible and performed well in the ring. The thing is, he always seemed like he wanted to be loved by the fans.
That doesn't affect his legacy one iota as a BOXER. Little dumb **** like this video is child's play compared to what a lot of boxers have done outside the ring, or said.
