The Reason So Many Hate Mayweather

Floyd with his fights with De La Hoya and Hatton brought boxing into the mainstream for a little while. You had to nations tuning in to watch Hatton and mayweather go at it. There was that level of excitement in boxing that hadnt been seen since De La Hoya V Tito. You think there would have been that level of excitement if Hatton had fought Mosley lol? Get the **** out of here.

Thats because you never really seen any of his fights, you probably seen Baldomir before he fought Hatton and thats it. His fights with Chico, Chavez, Castillo 1, Ndou and Corley were very action packed exciting close quarters slug matches.

Then again, I prefer the craft to the blood shed. Maybe WWE or UFC is more your "sport"

lol. Is that why Margarito turned down the fight with Williams to face a 40 year old Mosley. how exciting. :yep

You see, I prefer my boxers to be more like Citizen Kane. You prefer your boxers to be more like a Michael Bay film.

 

That had nothing to do with his in ring accomplishment...And the truth be told it was the fans that turn him into somewhat of an *******...Floyd wasnt that way early but it was the booing and jarring that he was getting. Plus the guy gets it honest have you heard his dad

 

But it doesn't affect their legacy as a boxer. That's what I'm saying.

Fighters can act like a clown outside the ring like Floyd often does, or much much worse than that (Carlos Monzon, Ray Robinson, Jake Lamotta, etc...), but their legacy as fighters are completely separate from what goes on outside the ring.

Ali was more entertaining in his trash talk, but also more cruel and offensive.

Somehow, I doubt Ricky Hatton is looking in the mirror saying "I am really a *****?", or do people call his son "***** Junior" at school at pick fights with him.

I don't think too many people are actually offended by Floyd's trash talk. It's not really good enough to care. It's almost times like he's making himself into a caricature.
