i agree to an extend as dawson didnt win johnson i think bernard should fight dawson and joe v glen.
Dawson is only in a position to be deemed a threat to Calzaghe because he has beaten both Tarver and Johnson (albeit controversially), yet when these same guys are mentioned as opponents for Calzaghe, Calzaghe is accused of fighting past-it has-beens :think
i think if he fought in the millenium stadium at 12, they would get a gate of around 80,000 and cash in on the PPV cha ching.
Bernard would have a great chance to make it sweet number 50 but this is not fighting like there's nothing else to do - Chad needs it more so he may well put the money on the table and then talk ( money talks and BS walks as they say). Antonio, Johnson and Jones Jr don't bring anything else to Joe, not even more money on the table, Joe may well fight Carl Froch in Wales that they would make as much as any of the aforementioned.
No one said anything bad about Johnson so..... And for Tarver to fight Calzaghe wether he is past it or not is ****in ******ed and a completely ***** move on Calzaghe's part for the fact that in Tarver's last fight he was completely dominated by Dawson.
to be honest Calzaghe has beaten everyone in boxing, and he is a star and he has fans outside of boxing who never even watch the sport, so no in the UK really cares who he fights, they just want a capacity 70000 - 80000 stadium capacity, i think the ppv in the US is not a big concern for the promotion because no matter who he picks the US dont like Joe.
Tarvers a LEGEND???? well......he did prove that Jones wasn't invincible, so maybe...but still, **** dont sound right but anyways, yeah...i'm down to see this fight too, i'd pay PPV money for this one, though i think Hopkins would probabbly make the fight look sloppy as hell, with holding and wrestling but still
