Kessler went to Australia aswell to fight Anthony Mundine and he´s last fight was in germany.Kessler have one fight in the US to,so i think he likes to fight anywhere.
librado andrade against bute in canada??? just a suggestion. Oh and im sure Glen johnson, THE ROAD WARRIOR, must have been ion the lions den, someone help out with an example.
i remember winky wright being totally unfazed by a few thousand fanatical steve foster salfordians in manchester in the late 90's. my first viewing of winky and he's remained a favourite of mine. kostya tszyu-hatton is the bigegst most recent example, the crowd were baying for blood that night
Different though dude. Andrade HAD to go. He was not a "popular respected champion". He went to Canada for glory, but did not have to go. Many fight abraod of course, but few popular champions that dont have to, do anyway.
Haye wasn't a champion when he fought Mormeck, he was the number 1 contender. Big props to him though that was an awesome performance.
cunningham and johnson have to fight on the road a lot as they would earn a fraction of the ammount they get fighting at home.
Cunningham was not champion for either match against Wlodarczyk. And Huck was a mandatory defence for which Don King lost the purse bid, so that was why that ended up in Germany. Kessler is the best example that has been given so far.
almost felt sorry for him by the end of that, thousands of people cheering every blow to his head and body while he struggled to even lock onto who was messing him up. almost.
Well unlike you, i saw both fights. I was focusing more on the 'winning titles away' part of the thread, but he was at a disadvantage against Ulrich and Dawson that way, and will be vs Cunningham.
