IMO there are a few variables
    I favor cotto
but the variables IMO are a) can cotto come back all the way from the margarito loss and b) can floyd mayweather sr craft a good ring strategy for victory that hatton will be able to follow

Cotto would edge it because as we all know ricky isn't a welterweight. This might of already been said but we brits did spank the yanks.

Cotto wins at 147.They should do it at a catch weight of 144.

Many others have said that styles make fights, and that'd be the case here. Cotto is a boxer/puncher, and a naturally bigger guy who fights at 147. Why he would drop down to 140 (when it's clear that he can no longer make the weight) to fight Hatton is beyond me, and I don't know why you guys are even talking about it.

At 147, Cotto kills Hatton. I'm a huge Hatton fan, but he's slow and gasses out at 147. Cotto, meanwhile, is coming into his own in that weight.

Would it be fun to watch? Probably. It'd be a Hagler/Hearns bang out that would only last three rounds before one of them (probably ricky) went down.

However, at 140, Hatton can't be beaten. By anyone. On the planet. I would have liked to have seen Ricky fight Floyd at that weight, and see if it made a difference...

    Cotto inside of 3.

Hatton didn't hurt Paulie except for the 2nd. (as per Paulie and in an interview where hatton said he thought that he himself only hurt Paulie in the 2nd)

Cotto broke fuggen BONES with punches.
Cotto beats Hatton inside of 3.

Cotto would kill Hatton. He is too big and strong and he is basically a better boxer.

If Ricky sucuums inder the power of FMJ, then imagine when Miguel lands!

  11. If it's 140 Hatton will prevail he's undefeated @ 140 people forget that.
