Chavez had a longer reign as a world champion, with more title defenses and man for man better opponants clearly.

Kostya's opponants in the non-titles fights as he was coming up were impressive for a guy with so little fights..certainly a lot better then the stiffs Chavez fought before his stint as a world champ started.

But this isnt enough to eclipse the phenomenal run Chavez had as a world champ in 3 divisions, where he was unbeaten for 9 years.
You are really missing the point.

Not surprised that a scumbag like that will find any pathetic excuse he could find knowing that a large group of ******s will believe/support whatever comes out of his ass.

The way those fans over there reacted was a disgrace, throwing garbage at Tszyu for ass raping the living hell out of this "legend" who beat 99 cab drivers and whenever he stepped up it was controversial.

because no one sits around telling their grandkids how great a champion joe blow was in the amateurs. pros are the all stars of the sports...amateurs is a stepping stone...their have been alot of great amateurs that sucked in the pros....its night and day

And there are a lot of top pros who would suck in the amateurs as well. They're different systems; with one big difference being in the amateurs, you can't duck anyone.

I think JCC is vastly overrated while Tszyu is very underrated. JCC resume reads like a cabby index, a guy who fought people making their profession debut after he had 50+ fights...

At the same time I can see a little how people underrate Tszyu, he didn't fight that much in his pro career and took a lot of time off because (gasp) he liked to spend time with his family. I think people would have liked a larger sample size for his pro career.

Well yeah, that can happen if you slug it out with a puncher. But the first 8 rounds are truth.

Bro you need to spend a little time at boxrec. JCC's resume is a who's who in the lightweight and welterweight division. Ask Greg Haugen about JCC fighting cab drivers.
