    Kessler would **** him up!!
Back to 160 fight Rubio then make some nice easy money decapatating John Duddy!! And if he's feeling adventurous go after Abraham after that!!

This is what will happen. I think he will be fighting at 160 for a while before he thinks about going up to super middle or light heavy.

Pavlik is committed to making his mandatory defense against Rubio - after that hopefully he will begin to unify against Arthur Abraham.

People need to stop bashing Pavlik for his loss to Bernard Hopkins. There is no shame in losing to a legend. Pavlik was on the wrong end of one of the great boxing performances of our lifetimes. People need to recognize and show some respect. Kelly will be back.

I have no doubts we'll see a fight w/ Abraham in the future. There's absolutely no reason to believe Pavlik is ruined or scared to face anyone.

The Hopkins fight was so bad for Pavlik. And people are overexaggerating Hopkins' performance. Pavlik fought like he was on drugs and Bernard himself looked surprised when found out that Kelly had stopped even trying mid-fight. The Ghost was one of America's hopes for the future and if his fans hae not all scattered like cockroaches then they need to get behind him. Now. If he was latino the latin community and boxing fans would be painting Hopkins up and at the same time painting the fight and "Pavlik will be back" up. Pavlik would still be in p4p top 10 and he would be healed now. Just look at Cotto. Pavlik on the other hand has had surprisingly little backup from American fans that hailed him before the Hopkins fight.

Unless you were visiting Venus or something white folk just elected in Barack Hussein Obama for president. Caucasians don't get involved in tribal groupthink like other folk. Not because they are better but because they can't get away with it. Kelly Pavlik is on his own and will need to rebuild his reputation on his future performances in the ring, And that is how it should be. As for P4P nonsense, man dude, a lot of these punks are pretending Joe Cal is not top 100 all time.   :patsch :patsch :patsch

You are right. However, I wasn't talking about white, blue, black, but Americans - and I would think Americans no matter the skin colour could back up behind Pavlik.

Perhaps not. Well, we are seeing that you are right, and whatever the reason may be it is tough like that.

Kelly isn't ruined and Hopkins is now all puffed up over a win against a fighter that was not 100% fight night. If you rewatch the fight, I think it is between rounds 2/3 or 3/4 that Kelly blows his nose and has a foot of snot left hanging. Kelly 'soldiered on' when he shouldn't have. I think that is the biggest lesson he got from that fight.

I agree. Kelly looked like hell pre-fight and just wasn't himself that fight. Next time when you're sick Kelly postpone the damn fight.

Pavlik was sick...but that doesn't take away the outstanding performance Hopkins put on. He was schooled by a fighter who prides himself on schooling up and coming talents. Pavlik just wasn't ready for that sort of fighter. To best quote Nazim Richardson during rounds 5 and 6, "They hyped this joker up and he hasn't even faced anybody with a jab yet."

As for his current plans? He'll face Rubio and then attempt to unify against Abraham like the plan originally was.

Yeah, it does. Triangulate the Pavlik > Taylor> Bhop matchups. This fight should have been more competitive if Kelly was healthy. You really can't make the argument Kelly wasn't 100% and not say it doesn't take away from Bhop.
