i've been thinking about delahoya vs pacquiao fight and im thinking this could be one of the biggest boxing mismatches since tyson vs lewis.
delahoya could end up giving pacquiao the worst beating of his boxing career or it could end up in a upset. we shall wait till dec 6.

what was the biggest mismatch in recent boxing? lets say past 10 years?

Gatti-Mayweather by a street. It just looked like the best fighter in the world against a bum off the street. I love Gatti, the guy is all heart and was a helluva fighter, but he was just too many classes below Mayweather. That fight had me cringing from beginning to end.

Its almost a shame that all those casual fans who were brought in by Gatti had to watch him get dismantled like that.

I think some of them truly believed Gatti was one of the best fighters in the world...who knows if they stuck around after that or went back to watching the more mainstream sports, probably the latter.

Out of the poll, I choose Mayweather-Gatti.

    Other mismatches in recent years:

    Barrera-Kelley
    Barrera-Fana
    De La Hoya-Campas
    Mayweather-Bruseles
    W. Klitschko-Austin
    Jones-Kelly
    Margarito-Gomez
    Morales-Croft

Morales-Croft is probably the worst. Poor Eddie hadn't fought in 3 years, and hadn't won a fight in over 4, and not against a guy with a winning record in over 8.

gatti mayweather may not go on PBF's resume as a great win but he looked DAMN GOOD in that fight...he made him look like a club fighter

It's funny that most are picking Gatti/PBF. I remember an article in Ring Magazine before the fight where they were asking people in the sport who would win, and it was about 50/50.

Not all of those were mismatches.

Some of them were one sided, but not a mismatch in the truest sense.

Has to be Mayweather vs Gatti of those.

Closely followed by Lewis vs Tyson.

    Ummm... what?

Did you see PBF-Gatti? It was the most one-sided beatdown I've seen in a long time.
