Why did Zeljko Mavrovic retire after losing to Lennox Lewis?

He got his ass whipped?

Shame he went actually, gave Lennox a run for his money.

 

I seem to recall he developed some liver issue and had to retire because of it.
I think he now is a reporter and also runs/owns and organic farm.

 

It wasn't a career ending beating, as you say.

He got a horrible muscle-eating disease I don't remember what it's called, he got down to 110lbs within 6 months of the fight I remember reading.
He's made a full recovery since, and owns a very sucessful organic food farm.

He was really fortunate to survive that and for what i read he is happily married now and has a successful business in the eco friendly food industry.

Lennoxx actually said he was 1 of his hardest fights so anybody saying he sucks should get their head examined.

The guy was a good heavyweight with a top notch chin.
