Linares gets him with a big shot. Gamboa is a raw talent when at his age he should be in his prime. Bad chin, no defense. Linares is the phenom, not Gamboa.
If Linares hurts Gamboa, he will finish him... if not, Gamboas just too fast. As textbook as Linares is..the speed difference is too much
Gamboa is faster, but Linares is pretty quick himself. It is like the difference between Mosely and De la Hoya in their first fight. But Gamboa shares none of the other advantages Shane had in that fight.
great fight i have def thought of this one...two future greats..i will lean towards gamboa although he could get ko'd
his chin is suspect but he comes back strong after getting floored...it is a cotto like chin...he gets hurt momentarily then fires back
I've only seen Linares twice, I believe. He looked very good, but it's been a while and I'm not prepared to assess this one yet.
What people have to remember also is that Gamboa has never been seriously hurt from the knockdowns he has suffered and he has always gotten back up to win in impressive fashion.
