How so? A few people have mentioned him, but nobody has fleshed out any details for us.

cause he hasnt fought anyone with a pulse and manny here talk like hes going to save boxing ,some even compare him with Arguello.
he doesnt even look so good against the scrubs hes been fighting the only thing he does well is putting combinations together and thats easy when the other guys dont offer anything back, other than that hes pretty average despite all of this most think hes much better than Gamboa and that he will be the best pound for pound in the future.

Diaz and Larios didn't have a pulse? It sure didn't look that way. He doesn't even look good against scrubs? It sure hasn't looked that way. You're entitled to your opinion, but I personally have no idea where you get this overall view from. I guess we'll be seeing about that. Thanks for the info.

Agreed 100%. Berto is NOT overrated.

Btw, out of Rafa's list and if I understand the meaning of the thread correctly, I'd pick Taylor, Cotto and Kessler.

In the first fight with Hopkins, Bernard didn't start to fight until round 6 or 7. Did Jermain win on points? Probably yes because B-hop slept, but he did not take the belt so to speak. In the Winky Wright fight, I thought Winky won. I like Jermain - he's a good guy, athletic, etc, etc. But he tires down the stretch and has never really dominated any of the bigger name guys. He had a hot streak but I think he's a overrated. or at least he was

**** off you goofy looking mother****er. The poll has no credibility. Linares hasn't proven **** and has been talked up as being one of the best in the sport and he has less votes than both Dawson and Williams. He hasn't fought a live body atleast Dawson and Williams have fought and beaten elite level comp and have proved that they are at that level.

Wrong. Hatton is cleary a limited fighter everyone knows it, poor defense, reckless and no jab. I'll admit he's showing some improvement under Mayweather Sr. but only time will tell nevertheless he was schooled and stopped against PBF.

Dawson is probably the most skilled fighter on the list he won a fight against a iron chinned Johnson who would give anyone at 175 hell and dominated Adamek and Tarver. Not to mention Kessler, Hopkins or Calzaghe won't fight him.

BTW I have nothing against Linares he just needs to fight a live body to warrant the hype he's getting kinda like Berto.

is that the same Diaz that looked pathetic against Soto?
is that the same Larios that is shot to pieces?

now i know why you wanted me to explain why i picked Linares cause youre one of the guys that overrates him.

Nope, those were well contested fights, featuring fairly sharp versions of Diaz and Larios that Linares had to contend with, and he stopped both of them. You can try and pick them apart on paper, but the fights speak for themselves.

What San Rafael was thinking when putting this poll up:

"I'll put up a list of the best americans and europeans and make them fight amongst eachother to put down their own fighters ... hehehehehe

Oh, and let me put in one or two latino-fighters than noone cares about anyway.
Margo, Cotto, Pac, Marquez, JMM etc etc. are of course not on the list. Hehehe...

"Then later I'll make another list asking 'who is actually better than people perceive him to be?' and I will include 8 latinos and probably Hopkins and Mayweather just to seem Im not too Latino biased.

"Hehehe.. they fall for it every time the suckers on esb"

    _____________________

The latino fans just work sooooo hard at taking down non-latino fighters and the smart thing is that they don't mostly say it - they frame the threads such that others say it for them. Pretty smart - in way.
