Margarito KO Hearns like Hagler did, he just have to endure Hearn's attack for the first 3 rounds then Hearns gets KO. Easy fight for granite chin Margarito.

    Lightweight Duran.......

Margarito's size and strength nullify the Hitmans power. If Tommy Hearns wins this it's a UD but no way that Tommy can hit him enough (without getting hit himself) to KO him.

Wow, you'd think Hearns was the f*ckin' Hulk or something the way ya'll talk about his power.

While I do think Hearns would outbox Margarito easily, I don't know if he'll KO him. Margarito's chin is ******ed. The shots he was taking from Cintron and Cotto was simply hellacious, and he walked right through them.

Hearns would win a UD I'm sure, but he'll do it by outboxing him, not by a KO imo.

Yea but you gotta understand something about Hearns' power at 147. It is high up there with pound for pound the most devastating of all time. Cuevas had an iron chin too and was never stopped until Hearns made him do the bachata.

Only 2 people Hitman beat at welter even saw the final bell. While its likely Hearns never tapped a jaw quite as sturdy as Margarito's at 147, its much more likely that Margarito never felt anything like the power that Hearns had at 147. So i would reckon that even Marg's great chin would likely not be able to withstand the uncanny power that Hearns had.

And was kod as a welter, what is your point? Also hit Hagler with everything and did not buckle him (given Hagler has one of the chins ever) but his power is not almighty.

Again, I think the emphasis here is on the fact that this is a welterweight fight. Hagler was a career middleweight. Hearns is one of few who didn't lose much power as he moved up but this is still a different weight class from where his power was damn near awe inspiring.

Hearns also broke his hand on Hagler's head in the first round and only half-heartedly threw the right hand again after that.

Good Post. There is no one who is "un-knockout-able." Tommy's power at 147 ranks up there with Foreman at heavyweight, Arguello at 130-35, Danny Lopez at 126, et. A fighter who gets hit flush multiple times by guys like that is going down, and Margo is VERY hittable.

I'm picking him in the rematch. And I think it was more overestimating Cotto than underestimating Tony. But fighting Cotto and Hearns is a whole different story dawg.
