I was just on Espn's boxing site and Teddy was giving his analysis, and he seems to really have it in for Oscar. I want Manny to win, but he was making Oscar seem like he was really overrated, anybody have any insight on this?
Atlas is always an underdog sort of guy. He leaps on any sort of fighter who has a 5% chance to upset instead of the big fighter.
I don't see why anyone should really question why he's taking the fight. That is obvious. It's the biggest money fight and event he can make. And a lesser risk than guys like Cotto or Margarito.
understood..but it is still not the noble thing to do AND more mportantly,,,he is gonna get **** on win or lose...Oscar has PLENTY of money....cotto Oscar or PW oscar wod have made plenty of cash
I don't think he really cares. He's aiming for the mainstream fan base, who aren't as knowledgeable about weight classes as devoted fans like us are. But not as much money as a Pacquiao fight. Oscar is wealthy as hell, but how many CEOS and real successful businessmen do you think are satisfied and don't continue to try to make as much as possible? Especially in such a short time frame, which a 35 year old athlete usually has. Rich people can be the greediest people on the planet. If they weren't greedy, they might not be in such a good position in the first place.
Guys, guys, guys! Can I say something here. I'm sorry, but I'm rilly tired of reading this **** tonight. **** like this, "I don't understand why Oscar accepted this fight." Truth is, Oscar didn't accept this fight, he more like OFFERD the fight. And yu know what else, Manny ACCEPTED the fight. Every other person on her tonight is talkin' like someone held a ****in' knife to Manny's throat and made him sign up for this ****. Hey, I'm not pointing out anyone specific here or tryin' to come down on anyone, but God Damn-let's get ****in' actuallized about this dealio, shall we? Manny's in this for, I would like to think anyway, two good reasons. I hope you have the same two in mind as myself. Thanks for reading.
Hey all, it's unlike me to start something like this and not try to back it up but I'm rilly tired. Goodnight. If I don't log on b4 the fight tomorrow, I hope everyone enjoys it more so than they anticipated. Good luck to both fighters.
