True, he struggled with weight much more than oscar when they were welterweigts. At 154 and 160 Tito was natural whereas Oscar was a blown up welterweight.
hey adub. Great picture. Is that Roger Mayweather with Margarito watching him as though saying 'what bs is he saying?". About Tito, he has not proven anything in many years. He really has not beaten anyone to this day who was really good. He beat Oscar on a questionable win. And Hopkins outclassed him.
"About Tito... He really has not beaten anyone to this day who was really good". Are you ****ing kidding? Just to give you an example, he beat Camacho, Oba Carr (undefeated at time 32-0), Campas (undefeated at time 56-0), Vargas (undefeated at the time 22-0), and Mayorga BEFORE Oscar de la Hoya faced them. He also beat guys like Sweet Pea (although way past his prime), Joppy, David Reid (undefeated at time gold medal winner), etc. etc. It is true that he got beat the **** out by BHOP, but he took the beating like a man, he even tried to stand up and continue fighting. His losses were pretty one sided but so were ALL his wins except for DLH, which was Trinidad's ONLY questionable decision. Oscar had some gifts himself like the Felix Sturm fight, among others. Trinidad did not need anyone's recycled fighters to prove he was good. He could beat them before they were softened up. He was a true warrior who faced anyone they placed in front of him. He is a champ in my book, coming from such a humble background and never having the opportunities others have of having the elite trainers in the game.
