This man can never win when it matters the most. Trinidad, Mosley, Hopkins, Mayweather, and now Pacman. All of these were legacy fights and he coudnt pull out wins. He is now 0-6 in big fights. Ouch that hurts his ATG rating.
Shane Mosley cheated, Tito cheated, his lost against Mayweather means nothing Pacman show how to beat old Oscar something runner Mayweather couldn't , Hopkins just to big for Oscar.
Mosley was taking illegal substances, I thought he beat Trinidad, and Hopkins was just to big at 160. Mayweather fight is a credit to Oscar that he could hang with Mayweather despite his age. Tonight, Oscar was dead at the weight and looked like he had about 20 bullet holes in him. Credit to Manny, but Oscar has had a great career, let's not try and take that away from him.
dlh is always talking about how the bright lights will get to his opponents and that they will get nervous but he's the one that gets nervous and ends up losing most of the time...
What about Chavez, Quartey and Whitaker. You shouldnt even mention Trinidad, thats like saying Holyfield beat Lennox.
This is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Teddy is well known for making little sense, and when he was implying Oscar chokes in all his big fights, that was no exception. Oscar fought great in the Trinidad fight, but coasted and that was his down fall. I still felt he had enough rounds in the bag, as does a lot of other posters here I'm sure. Trinidad was one of the best fighters in the world at the time, and Oscar gave him a Boxing lesson through 7. The first Mosley fight was a great fight, fiercly competitive, and Oscar just came up short. Mosley was considered THE best fighter in the world at that time, and Oscar was in there to the very last bell. It's also been confirmed since then that Mosley was taking illegal substances which undoubtedly enhanced his performance. Should really be called a NC. Tonight. He didn't lose because he was nervous, who's been in more big fights that Oscar, for christ sake. He lost because he was dead at the weight, dehydrated, or just very very old. Pacquiao will undoubtedly get credit, and this will be a legacy booster for him, but that wasn't Oscar in the ring today. Oscar doesn't lay on the ropes takoing punishment from anybody, and the Oscar of 4 years ago even, throws punches in bunches. None of that tonight. This fight detracts from Oscar's legacy as much as the Holmes fight detracts from Ali's.
