People getting way too carried away with last nights performance. It was a very good performance by Pac but in fairness de la Hoya just looked shot and drained from early on. Even walking into the ring I thought he looked very drawn and washed out.

I voted for PBF, Cotto, Marg, PW and Berto. Think the only one he may have a chance against out of those is Berto and that's more to do with Berto being still green. All the rest are almost dead certs in my eyes. Anyone picking Pac over PBF would really want to reassess their thinking. PBF would school him over 12 rounds. A lopsided UD.

Pac should go back down to 135 and finish business there instead of chasing pipedreams.

It very much can be a dangerous trap but that's that idea behind the thread. I intentionally left 154lbers and up off the poll to get a more compelling gauge on how the boxing public views Pac against elite fighters that are in his weight proximity after such a surprising and one-side victory over a bigger man. The results are for the most part are what I'd thought they be. I am a little surprised more people haven't picked the every elite welter option though.

I am betting Pacman will TKO Wladdy, then Windowmaker will blame it on the pineapple juice on Pacmans gloves :rofl

not many guys can beat him below 147. Above the size comes to mind. Makes you wonder how Hagler would have done fighting at 175 against Spinks or Qawi.

    Had to bump it. :yep

Originally I voted for every top welter but now after seeing the power display last night, I've got to reevaluate my opinion. I think PTP and Margarito would be just awful match ups for Pac but the rest of the 147lbs field is now fair game. I could now see Cotto having some problems dealing with Pac and if the fight went to the cards I might even favor Pac because of his late round superiority. And of course there's Mayweather who imo presents the most difficult challenge outside of PTP and Margo because of his technical brilliance and comparable speed.

    What are your current thoughts?

Of that list Paul Williams just too big long and too active. Not to mention nothing Manny throws will have an effect on him. 100% chance

PBF is second with a 60% chance.
