Mogens Palle is the Danish Frank Warren without a doubt.

LOL. Of course Kessler's team would have turned down a deal to be a late substitute. He contacted Kessler less than 2 months before the proposed fight. It's ludicrous to think he would have taken it.

Each of Kessler's best five wins are better than Froch's best win. Froch doesn't even have a Beyer/Andrade/Lucas/Mundine/Siaca on his resume.

Actuly thats what they plan to do i think. As i see it, Kessler and Palle didn't agree to fight in US before. Now i think Kessler has put alot of pressure on Palle. Palle and the trainer will not follow Kessler, when he probably moves to the US and try to gain some respect for the next 2-3 fights. If Kessler succeed, the pressure for the big fights against Hopkins, Taylor, Pavlik, Dawson and Bute will emerge. Actuly i think that Kessler in and out of the ring has that potential to be big in US and the time is right. US hasn't that many good fighters at the moment.
That in mind, i don't expect the next fight to be against some of the best. I think Kessler and his team has to take a big pay cut to even get a fight.

Team Palle is in a very uncomfortable position. Apparently his boxing business rests solely on one boxer: Mikkel Kessler. If Palle picks the wrong fight and Mikkel screws up there isn't much left of Palle's business. Mogens Palle really needs to put all his 50+ years of promotor experience into picking the right fights for Kessler, until the next "star" comes around. With this in mind I don't think Kessler's next fight will be a high-risk fight.

I just think that it's a little early to label Froch as the "euro Margarito". I see their similarities, but similarity doesn't necessarily warrant direct comparison.

Bute and Calzaghe are both quick southpaws who made their names at 168, but I wouldn't call Bute the "Canadian Calzaghe" just yet.

I'm just saying that the name Margarito carries some pretty heavy implications with it and I'm not sure Froch is ready to shoulder those just yet.

Froch may have walked away with it at the end, but it wasn't because of what he was doing so much as the fact that Pascal wasn't doing anything the last few rounds. When Pascal fought, he was more accurate than Froch and landed the better shots.

And saying Pascal would beat most other SMWs... define "most." Because I'm not even convinced that Pascal belongs in the top 10 just yet. He definitely doesn't beat any of the top 5.

Nothing wrong at all. As long as you don't start to pretend he's the next big thing.

Froch has got way more over-rating to go yet before we can start comparing him to Margarito :good

Personally I think Froch needs to stay the **** away from most of the guys he's been calling out. That includes middleweights Pavlik and Abraham.

    Calzaghe/Froch = Calzaghe/Lacy II

Kessler is a bit stiff and mechanical, but Froch does not have the skills or tactical exerpertise to exploit that. I can easily imagine Mikkel winning every round.

Jermain Taylor is just to fast and mobile for Froch. I think Jermain would control the fight with his jab, and at times absolutely blister Froch with combinations. Carl might stun JT a couple times, but he would not KO him. Look at the beating JT took in the 3rd round of the first Pavlik fight, and then he came back and won the 4th. Froch won't KO him, and that would be his only hope. Taylor takes it 9-3, or 8-4.

Now lets talk about the middleweights that Froch keeps yapping about:

Right now I think Froch might beat the crap out of Abraham for awhile, but he is slow, his offense is sloppy as hell, and his defense is virtually non-existant. Abraham would catch him 2 or 3 times, and somewhere along the way finish him. If AA moved to 168 the right way, it would not go past the middle rounds.

Pavlik/Froch would be a fun fight to watch. However, even though Miranda and Froch have very different physiques, their styles are similar. Froch has a much better jab than Miranda, but both are slow, lack defense, sloppy offense, rely heavily on one-punch power, and can't counter punch off the back foot. Right now it would be an exciting fight that would play out a lot like Pavlik/Miranda, but I'd expect it to last a bit longer. If Kelly was committed to 168, and grew into it the right way, it's a one sided beat down.
