Paulie has shown some skills, but getting beat by Cotto and handling 35 year old Lovemore N'dou hasn't quite sold me on him yet.

Can you name the posters who were saying that Malignaggi is an elite fighter? :think

Not because his name is being mentioned and discussed against big names doesn't mean he is an elite fighter.

Now get your **** together kid. :yep :yep :yep :yep

Nobody credible has called Malignaggi an elite fighter.

But he showed genuine toughness against Cotto and soundly beat N'Dou, who'd given Cotto his toughest fight to date.

It's one of those logical progression things. Whether Paulie ever attains elite status is up to his future performance, not critics basing judgement on his performance to date in a very young career.

I don't recall anybody saying Malignaggi was an elite fighter.....hell Cotto himself is just on the cusp of being an elite fighter.

I think he thought you were talking about an N'dou rematch.

Anyway Ngodjo looked good against Castillo(who then got raped by Ricky Hatton) and in the fight vs Bailey many people including myself think he lost.

He has no name in america excect for giving a faded Castillo a good fight............ And that's even if they remember that fight. Herman is better off trying to get a shot at Gavin Rees.

He got beat up by the 140 lb. weight drained version of cotto. The 147
lb version would've ended him. Paulie is an elite clubfghter and nothing more.

he lasted longer than Judah, I guess that would make him elite. Plus he 'outboxed' Cotto a couple of rounds with a broken jaw, ribs, spleen...you name it.

He's italian, he's metro, he's cocky and he has some skill. People will pay to see him get his @ss kicked.

have you seen clubfighters? have you actually gone to casinos and seen them? and your calling a top 5 in his weight class one? anyone who has eyes can see hes got boxing skills.

Some people dont seem to understand how good you actually have to be to win a ****ing recognised title in boxing.

hes a good ****ing boxer... is he elite? nobody has said that yet..

is he good? hell ya. is he a 'club fighter'

    hell no

I believe that if Cotto was not as drained as he was Malignalli might not be boxing today because that beating would have been worse

to be honest, i dont see why people bring that up, as if it should count AGAINST malignaggi

Isnt it then OBVIOUS that cotto is a LARGER fighter?

the fact that cotto would beat maligaggi worse at 147 is irrelavant, because... maligaggi is not a 147lb fighter.

    so, imo... it doesnt matter.
