I know there are gonna be a ton of "McClellan 3rd round KTFO" but in all honesty McClellan didnt have great boxing skills, he was a puncher pure and simple, and he was definitely capable of being outboxed. Kessler is an excellent boxer with decent enough power and most importantly a P4P jab. I could see him outboxing McClellan to a points win, perhaps even scoring a late TKO. There is always the chance that McClellan lands some monster punch, but I dont ever favor punchers for this reason. Kessler is the more skilled fighter and is capable of fighting a much more disciplined fight.
The G-man , if it weren't for that blood clot, he would have probably reached ATG status, The guy was an absolute monster at 160 and even one at 168 .... this was partly the problem for him, he drained so much and that can add a greater impact on your brain when getting hit ( less water between the brain and skull to help absorb punishment) , I mean, the blood clot against Benn formed early in the fight, he was profusely blinking and had a headache from early on, yet he was still able to fight an elite guy and even knock him down once more in the eighth round.
I guess you've only seen his fight with Benn? In his earlier fights he was a ****ing beast who could use the jab very well. His left hook to the body is underrated IMO
Good argument ,, Personal attacks.... and then one sentence to describe why you believe this. Listen Noobie, I know just came on here to suck on Calzaghe's nuts, but we have enough of guys like you already.
I'm a Calzaghe fan, but Kessler' right arm was screwed for that fight in Cardif. This is a good thread though, by the sounds of it McClellan had immense KO power.
Nice argument....NOT G-Man beat RJJ in the amateurs, for those that don't think he could box. He fell in love with his power and preferred blasting guys out because his chin was granite. Unfortunately he took too many big shots over his career (Nigel Benn, Julian Jackson, sparring heavyweights etc) and he was a monster at 160, meaning he was often weight drained and therefore more vulnerable. Kessler would definitely have problems with G-Man. If Kessler could get through 6 rounds, I believe that he could win on points, but getting through those 6 rounds would be the problem. G-Man would definitely be landing on MK so it depends on his chin. When you say "Mikkel Kessler would outbox him with ease" you obviously know very little about G-Man or you are one huge nuthugger.
