i heard he just beat Pascal, who is no joke so i'm wondering how good this Froch really is....can he beat Taylor or Kessler? what are your thoughts?

I think he can beat Taylor. Although Taylor is a tidier boxer, he kind of went "safety first" after Lacey hurt him last time out, and Froch is tough enough and hits hard enough to enduce, and then take advantage of that situation.

But someoen like Kessler, who is tidy and aggressive throughout, should find a way to stop him, in fact.

    Those are my guesses.

He could, if he had the perfect fight. We will probably get to see in 2009 if everything goes well.

He could beat those guys, but its unlikely really. Id pick Kessler to stop him

froch is probably 3 or 4 in the SMW division. I don't think he beats Kessler, Bute, or even mundine. tough guy, though.

He has a punchers chance, but is very technically flawed and would be outboxed one-sidedly by those guys imo

So you want to gauge how good Froch is based on how he'd do against Taylor and Kessler?

Froch has a chance against Taylor but Kessler would take him apart, especially if he kept that hand down by his waist. That's pretty much it.

    He could beat Taylor.

    Is it likely?

    No.

BTW this is a great candidate for fight of the year. Pascal showed me something in this fight. He had Froch reeling and was saved by the bell. Froch did edge it out for me with his jab and winning the late rounds.

Christ, I said he's got a chance. What was so alarming about my post that you felt the need to scrutinize it so carefully?

I think Froch has a hard time beating Taylor but will pull it off . I think Kessler will have a bit to much for him.

froch v pascal was a good fight.you should watch it on you tube.(not ppv admin).
i still think kessler is in a different league to froch but he may stand a chance against taylor.close call.

    Froch would spark Bute.
he was saved a few times in his last fight. Froch has Power if nowt else.
Taylor could outbox froch but if carl lands hard enough often enough i can see taylor going gun shy and then its a case of how much pressure Carl can apply.
Kessler i think everyone is agreed on.
Someone like Andrade would be a really good test of how good froch is
