I wouldn't put Adamek in with David Haye in fear of his career, its lucky the Hayemaker is a HW now because his Polish jaw might be smashed into pieces.
+1 One of the biggest things I took from tonight's fight is that Cunningham sucks. Or is ridiculously overhyped. Or looked horrible tonight. Something. For a guy with such a poweful physique he can't break an egg. And he can't take a shot. What he could do, however, was fight the wrong fight and brawl with a brawler. And that's what he did, and he lost. Not a surprise. As 1lehudson says, Adamek was getting battered during various stretches of the fight. And it wasn't like Cunningham was some unstoppable force, but Adamek has very little defense, no ability to hold on when hurt, is not very quick and his conditioning was more than suspect as the bout wore on. Here's the best way to summarize this fight: This content is protected . I like Adamek, but this wasn't a great showing. He showed toughness and grit, for sure, but all of his holes were on full display as well. And, as the title of the thread suggests, because of those numerous holes he and the similarly-deficient Steve Cunningham would be destroyed by David Haye, a fighter I don't even care much for. But it's not about who I like, it's about recognizing the reality of a matchup. These fighters (Haye-SC; Haye-TA) will likely never fight at CW. But if they did, Haye would plow through the two men who fought tonight, IMO.
This statement will only be valid until Haye lose to Wlad by KO. After that the only legendary of Haye will be his loud mouth and his glass chin. Don't get me wrong but Auldey was an Ollimpic gold medalist some time ago, does anybody think of him other than by his glass chin now?
For ****s sake, why after every fight in heavy or cruiser division we have the Haye brigade saying, 'Haye would destroy them all' The sport of boxing does not revolve around Haye.
since when? Haye brought the CW and HW division back from the brink of death, Haye is boxings Messiah
Haye already defeated virtually both Toney and Rahman saying they are worthless ... his words are like a gold. just wait for Haye comment on Adamek-Cunningham and see what he would do to them.
I guess Haye wasn't so sure he would TKO Barrett that why he fought him instead Toney and Rahman :huh
But why he even bothered since everybody (including himself) knew Barrett was a journeyman? According to your own words Haye shouldn't bother fight Barrett because he knew he would TKFO1 him.
So lets assume Haye is true HW champion since he already know he would TKFO1 both Wlad and Vitaly with just one hand.
