Whats with this guy? Id figure they would have stepped him up by now..all those fights..He's 28, by no means old.. Padding his record just a little? Thoughts on this guy?
Does anyone know his amateur record? I can understand if he didn't have a long amateur career why he would still be taking his time to fight better competition, but I don't really know much about him
He was an impressive amatuer. He has good skills as a boxer. Good arsenal of punches as well. You can see a few of his fights on youtube. Scott started boxing at the age of 11 and had a stellar amateur career. In 1997, he won the Junior Olympics Championships and in 1998, Scott won the American Boxing Classic title and the "Under-19" Junior World Championships crown. He won the This content is protected in 1999 defeating world champ This content is protected and This content is protected in the process. In 2000 he beat This content is protected and This content is protected but lost to Estrada at the trials and then Bennett in the Olympic box-offs and therefore didn't qualify. His record was 70-3.
Yep. Its one way to go though. Stay under the radar, fight easy fights and build a massive record. Eventually someone will take notice of you and some BS belt will rank you. Win one decent fight and next thing you know your mandatory for the WBO.
