hey, ive just started boxing and got down my local boxing gym and i was wondering whether its normal or not to have pain in the joints at the elbows after training? and what it might be?

It's probably from hitting the speed bag.

It might hurt if you are very tense when you throw your punches and miss with them. I think it can be normal in the beginning. Just do a good warm-up before you start training, and do some exercises after the training is over. I've known some people with the same problem, but it eventually disappeared.

Overextending the elbow may have caused it, or pushing the heavybag hard instead of punching it properly. It's best not to worry about punching power but to focus on technique only.

I have to agree it sounds like a hyper extended elbow, try not to lock your elbow when you punch.
