What fighters have you liked that ended up just being overhyped fighters?

    I was looking through my boxing Dvds and went through a couple of names. I was just like Wow they totally fell off. You guys remember Kid Diamond, the suppose next Kostya Tszyu.

    The fighter that I thought would be great was Wayne Braithwaite. I saw him and thought he was such an exciting fighter than he just went down hill after. I also believed the hype on Lacy thinking he would be like a super middleweight version of Tyson (well not exactly).

    Pavlik was definitely one that was overhyped - his limitations were exposed by Taylor in the first fight but were glossed over because he emerged with the stoppage.

    Michael Grant.

    I still like him, actually. Maybe more as a person than a fighter, but I do wish him well.

    Also got my fingers burnt with Tommy Morrison and David Tua.

    K9 Bundrage. I was sure he was going to be at least a solid champion...then he got KTFO 4 times with punch by Sechew Powell.

    I like Khan but he was being way over hyped. He needed an ass whippin to make him realise he wasnt as good as people were telling him.

    Still think he will do well under Roach, as long as he doesnt get hit flush :yikes
