If the sport is judged by a Wladimir performance we wouldn't ever watch boxing.

wladimir is very good at what he does.
keeps it simple /does not take chances/wears his man down and the finishes them off.

and the market he fights in (germany) has no problem with this.

15 to 20 million will have watched in germany alone with how many more millions in the eastern block.

setanta or bunce said klitchko fights do well in the uk as well.

but i know the american market at heavy hates saftey first heavys , and wlad will always fall into this category,.

Wlad was fine, it was Rahman's total non-effort that was poor.

He's the one that deserves any blame.

Klitschko is keeping boxing alive.. especially in germany. Rahman and all the other old farts are ruining it.

He needs opponents who make it a contest. Heavy division isnt great, but Haye or Povetkin v Wlad would be great fights to watch.

It's not his fault people can't beat him. I'm counting on Haye to do it. No way is he going to stand around like a fat man and eat jabs.

put a different opponent in front of vlad, someone who comes to have a real good go, and its a more entertaining fight

not sure who that opponent would be though

Exactly. Wlad did what was expected. He showed up to give a beating and he did. Rahman did not want to engage him. He is what made the fight suck.

However, Haye is right, and I think he would do MUCH better, or at least make the fight exciting and quick.

    Bring it on!!!

Perhaps if was actually a 'live' American heavy weight fight out there for Klitscho things would be a little more interesting. Instead he's had to fight the likes of Thompson and Rahman.

Wlad did what he was supposed to do, you should do what you're supposed to do and STFU.

Wrong. Clit deserves blame for signing the fight in the first place.
