What fighters have you liked that ended up just being overhyped fighters?

I used to love david reid... till he got the beatdown from tito and started losing to cops who were part time fighters.

 

Vargas was one of my fav. fighters in the late 90's and then the implosion began.

 

AJ Banal, followed his career very closely for 3 years and felt he was the next Filipino superstar until his last fight,he has the talent but not the heart.

Tyrone Brunson, I thought this guy would atleast make it to journyman status.

 

Andy Lee, then, he gets clubbered by Vera.:!:

 

Donald Curry. At his best he was headed to hall-of-fame status but then he started liking the nose candy and other men too much.

 

Boom Bautista and Z-gorres

aaargh! im still optimistic that they'll return...but i'm not as enthusiastic as before anymore.

 

Sultan Ibragimov.

 

Peter Manfredo jr.

 

Dominick Guinn. I thought he was going to be the American heavyweight savior.

On an opposite note, I'm really glad that cocky ******* Jason Litzau fell of the radar. Overhyped piece of sh!t!!!

 

Travis Simms...one of the most talented fighters (both natural and pure boxing talent) I have ever seen. And yes, I do mean EVER! Wasted too much of his career in the courts fighting for shots...then after he finally nabs a title, takes a good fighter for granted and loses. Now it too old to amount to what he could have become.

DPDL. Losses to Juanma, Caballero, and Penalosa. Instead of trying to avenge his defeats he wants to rematch a guy that he blew away in one round and just recently lost another fight. How about giving Gerry the rematch he deserves.

none....some might say Zab Judah though, but he just didn't meet mosts expectations as the 2nd coming of Sweat Pea, he still had a good career overall, 2 division champ...1 division was undisputed

oh wait, some might also say Amir Khan but.....i still think he can achieve a title or 2 now that he's under Roach
