Is there anyone worse for boxing right now than James Toney?

    Seriously, for the sake of the sport, please retire. He's fat, out of shape, doesn't do anything in ring, fights heavyweight and yet keeps sticking around and winning horrible decisions. They should do us all a favor and put him in the ring with Vitali and end his career once and for all.

    They keep putting him on tv, though, and his fat ass keeps winning fights. Somehow. I had him losing by two rounds tonight and he still won. I want him out of the sport. Same way I want Holyfield out of the sport. They should mimic the WWE and have retirement fights.

    did he look that bad? I didn't see the fight. Maybe Oquendo had a good style matchup.

    James Toney looked awful. He is everything wrong with the sport. I can't believe he is still fighting at this stage in his career. Too bad guys like Toney and Holyfield don't have someone in their lives that can tell them when enough is enough.

    Toney has been shot to bits for a few fights now, it's hard to see where he will end but nobody is knocking him out...that's why he might go on for another few years.:patsch

    Toney didn't look good, he was slow and out of shape, very disappointing. He looked a lot better only 5 months ago against Rahman.
    However, who has ever looked good against Oquendo? This guy turns every fight into a stinker.

    how bout the judges telling him to stop...he is not what is wrong with the sport u goof...he has helped the sport a ton ...he can still fight a bit...now world class anymore but thAT is what he does for a living u can't just take it away

    I don't think its much to do with roids, or the lack of them. The guy is old, out of shape and has had many tough hard fights where he's absorbed a lot of punishment to his body. We have to remember, he's never been a mobile fighter despite the good shell defence, so he absorbs everything.

    He might not quit until he's KO'd. I think he loves the sport and has a severe case of self delusion. If he's given another shot at the highest level, which hopefully he won't since he doesn't deserve it, he may well be KO'd. That would be a sad day.

    prbaly right, down three times in 40 some seconds. i love the whole part spaid corner saying its to late to run now before the fight started and their man was well ima leave it at that. i do agree with comentators though estrada need to be more poise. but hey hes 2-0 so we will see later down the road. ward fight was pretty good too. i wonder will he still be chasing allen green.
