    agreed

Pacman fought the perfect gameplan and DLH had no gameplan

Both for me.... The first thing I thought was, "wow, Oscar doesn't look right!" the next thought was "Manny is a lot better than I thought.!" Honestly at the end of the fight, I was shocked, like I had just witnessed something great..... Luckily I didn't bet any money on this fight.... Because my money would have been on Oscar, even coming in on the night of the fight at 147.

The question was which has more weight Manny being good or Oscar being shot. I remember people saying that a shot Oscar will still destroy Pac. In other words Shot Oscar > prime Pac. Results show Pac was good.

    101% agree!

PAC vs Hatton ...then if pac wins I HOPE pbf will fight again.. if not then pac vs JMM should happen!

    cheers!

Oscarwasold. No denyinen that. He was also apparent dat he was too slow. Because of his age. Buh, for hoya to be comeptitive in da fight atleast he had to have speed. He no longer had any torque or exceleration cuz he is slow and old.

I think that hoya really want to stay lighter thinking he can spank manny with that size anyway, and getting accustom to that weight in preparation for a plan fight with hatton at 140.

    he's being sarcastic:yep

anyway, imo some would think that any boxer from superfeatherweight, even cassius baloyi and bobby pacquiao, will knockout the version of DLH we saw december 7th

Very good post. I'm impressed with the results of this thread. Many of us did think even a shot Hoya would beat Pac.

I wish I had more words but your avatar is taking all my concentration right now. :nut:nut:nut:shock:

PAC WILL ALWAYS HAVE HIS DETRACTORS, BEING A GREAT LITTLE FIGHTER THAT HE IS...ESPECIALLY POSTERS WHOSE FAVE FIGHTERS HAVE BEEN BEATEN BY PAC

No question De La Hoya cannot make 147lbs in a healthy fighting fashion any longer. He looked gaunt at that weight, and should never come under 154lbs again if he intends to continue.

On the other hand, Pacquiao looked great and would have done well either way, I believe.

Oscar seldom commited to punches in the fight. Saw a little of what I expected out of him in the first round, utilizing the jab and probing with it, looking to set up punches and having a contingent flurry when Manny tried to move in and out. But once Oscar started taking shots to the body, his speed disappeared almost altogether except in very rare spurts, and even those spurts weren't what I'm used to seeing as far as his speed.

Also give credit to Manny for taking it to Oscars body, using foot movement to set up the left cross at angles, and doing a great job at controlling the distance, he moved in and out beautifully, took advantage of angles, using the right hook over the jab. When Oscar starting using the Jab lazily, I saw what I never expected to ever see.. A counter uppercut off of Oscars Jab.

All Oscars fault, I'm not going to take credit away from Manny. He is humble, he works hard, has a ton of heart, more class than any boxers that immediately come to mind, and is a great person. I talk a lot of **** about Manny in the past, but we don't see him dressed in fishnets like Oscar, talking **** like Morales or Mayweather. I'm really starting to like Manny, even though I feel he didn't win the JMM fight.

Oscar didnt want to fight. He wasnt throwing anything but that bull**** jab to keep the Pac-monster off him. If ODLH wanted to fight he wouldve thrown a couple vintage flurries or at least rushed the smaller Pac.
