As someone said in the rbr thread...the judges are trying to tell Oquendo they don't like his style!

Byrd, Holyfield, Toney. That's three fights now that could've vastly changed Oquendo's career, but despite him arguably deserving the nod in all three his negative style has switched off the judges.

    Shame for Fast Fres.

At least we've been spared of another wave of Toney cheerleading. The usual nuthuggers are nowhere to be seen.

I hate to say anything negative about professional fighters but this fight is pretty much minor league. Neither of these guys are in any position to do anything. I didn't get a chance to watch it but this and the other threads have already told me all I needed to hear. Toney's been done for almost 2 years now and Oquendo just can't catch a break.

The sad thing is that Oquendo's actually a decent heavyweight and had the judges gave him the decision he deserved against Byrd in '03 his career may have gone in a different direction.

    Nope he wasn’t.
    Toney deserved the decision.

I had it 115-112 for Toney.

It was closer fight what I expected, but Oquendo is such a difficult guy to look impressive against with he’s constant running and holding, that I think it was ok performance for Toney.

Now bring on Thompson or Valuev. :bbb
