This Pakistani is very good. I saw, the mistakes he made against presscot. his guard's too wide. Buh apart from that, overall his speed and combination is outstanding. I was amazed! I see he keep his gloves up and tight now. I have become a fan. he is still 21.
Still a work in progress for me, and needs to develop a smarter approach. He definitely is a top talent though.
oops. HE needs head and body movement.. His head still easy target. I am sure Roachy will have this fast kid move his head. I see the potential he could come at ya wid explosive speed.
We'll see. All I know is the kid getting better training sparring Mexicans etc. Alot tougher and a level higher than in Braitain, IMO..
Excellent potential. He's only 21 and has fought in 8 scheduled twelve rounders and has a 15/19 KO ratio. So he's not fighting duds. The Prescott KO would have hit home hard and now it's his time to do the hard work and prove he can be a world champion and a superstar. Big money is on the cards if he grabs a title considering the wealth of talent in the 135 - 147 bracket, Pacquiao, Hatton, Marquez, etc.
i like amir, good young boxer, great speed. if he can fight smart and protect his chin, he may have a chance at winning a belt. i know its sparring, but i was impressed with him vs pacman.
I still don't know how far this kid can go , he does have a rare talent and everyone forgets he still is what ? 21 ish ? training with Freddie and sparring with pacc etc @ the wild card won't improve his suspect chin but he will learn how to avoid being clocked on it easliy, its easy to think an olympic medalist will go onto become a world champ but as we have recently seen with Audley Harrison it doesn't automatically follow . its still early doors for this kid but i for one am looking forward to enjoying the ride , one thing for sure is he is seldom involved in a boring fight . Good luck to the kid .
Very true, when you look at the best lighter weight boxers there are plenty of British boxers who never entered the olympics such as Naseem, Hatton, Junior, Benn, etc. His chin is suspect probably due to all the amatuer he did as a kid, he went on sparring with a head guard until well into his late teens and then went fighting people who were never going to hurt him until finally one day he was hit hard enough to be KO'ed and wasn't ready for it. When you look at Hatton, Calzaghe, Naseem, non of these guys sparred consistently with a head guard and were always known as being battered just as hard in the gym as in the actual boxing ring... P.S. I am talking about British boxers...
I see this kid mixing it up in big league rapidly. With the trainer and training he is getting. Sparring those tough Mexican boys will improve him by 10 perecent. All his fights are in the UK. When will he take the show to the U.S? I hope soon indeed. Cuz, he is exciting to watch. I see the kid is killer with the chicks cuz he's a pretty boy. So, I know a potentiall PPV in the future.NO problem in that department. Cuz, he is fast and likes to mix it up.Neva boring.. it's wha boxing and wha boxing fans need for this dying sport of boxing.....someone dat can excite.Just gotta improve more and more.
