Well I first started trainng Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and striking in summer of 06'. A new gym opened up near where I live, and there was a back room where they taught Jiu-Jitsu. The guy who was giving me the tour there the first time I went to this gym. Could tell I liked it and he said "you like that don't you", and I couldn't restrain myself I nodded and said "yeah", I think he could tell I was excited.
And then I think I was working out there, and got one of the staff there to make a workout routine for me and show me how to use the equipment. And then one day, they had the jiu-jitsu class, and I joined.
I stopped after 06' for reasons I wish I hadn't. And well now the guy who taught at this gym doesn't teach there now. He has a new place. So I may chekc it out, so we'll see.
THe name of the room at this gym though, was called "The Pit", though. They had it painted letters above the door.
Although I don't even want to mention how many colleges have arenas, courts, etc called "The Pit". :nut

I can finally answer this thread now that I don't have that gay avatar.

I don't train any more due to accumulation of injuries over the years. I went through three blown knees in a row and then when I had to have hernia surgery I called it quits.

im 15 did 2 years of boxing. Took about 3/4 of the year off and got a job. About 2months ago i started BJJ/Sanshou. I really enjoy both but I tend to favor going to BJJ with the time I have (i'm still working part time and go to school as well).

I trained at a good MMA school before i lost my job. I trained boxing and got good to where I was beating guys who did well in competitions but just lost interest. I have trained very little Muay Thai.

My plan is box now and when my money is, right go back to MMA. I am 29 but will fight in the amatures for fun for as long as I can. I want to compete in amature BJJ, MT, MMA, and boxing. Just devote my life to fighting because if not I end up on drugs and drinking.

Oh and aside from fighting, I want to fish, snow board, boogie board, ride quads and surf as often as I can. Truely life live, to me that is.

trained 6 years karate and got my first degree black belt, rolled around bjj with some guys there that also did bjj and still meet up with em from time to time. been doing boxing since july 2007. when i did karate the instructors who were fans of the 'complete martial artist' image liked mixing in judo and bjj and bringing people from other gyms in the area in to cross train with eachother. i would hardly say im any good on the ground, decent and i can defend submissions until i tire and lose my strength. my strengths definitely are my stand up and i do well boxing close with uppercuts and kick like a ****ing mule. when i still did karate i had a rep for using thai style kicks sparring, people hated me for it but :D

iks you gotta put snowboarding on the top of that list. get yourself somewhere to learn and then spend a week at a mountain resort(i recommend keystone, CO) its the most fun you'll ever aside from beating the **** out of someone or ****ing a hot chick. on top of being fun as hell its an excellent workout for your legs and core.
