arreola better start getting on that treadmill. i like the guy, but wlad is the man to beat at the moment and i don't wanna see a mexican fat albert or nutty professor entering the ring in a dump truck. this fight is way too soon for arreola. just like what they did with vargas

Eddie Chambers was already beat by Povetkin, who Wlad is ALREADY going to fight against once Povetkin is ready. Get Povetkin out of the way? Wlad is waiting on him, not the other way around. Povetkin isn't ready yet. Wlad should just sit on the shelf and wait for 9 months? Ruiz? Please... yeah... Ruiz is definitely a more exciting fight than an undefeated prospect who is showing to be a knockout artist. Maskaev? Virchis just lost his last fight... he is a more worthy opponent? Dimitrenko? I agree.. he is a very worthy opponent. However, if you follow his career, you would know that his managers wouldn't put him anywhere near Wlad right now. Besides that... he honestly hasn't earned a title shot any more than Arreola has.

Arreola is undefeated with a record of 26-0 with 23 knockouts. He has wins over other highly touted prospects such as Travis Walker, Chazz Witherspoon, and he also knocked out another highly respected prospect at the time in Damian Wills. Not only has he beat these guys, but the first two didn't make it out of 3 rounds with him, and he also knocked Wills out in the 7th. I think that he is just about as exciting, and worthy as any other contender out there right now. DEFINITELY a great fight for Wlad to be taking as he waits on Povetkin to get into the ring with him.

Arreola is on the verge of getting some confidence and trash talking bravado, along with his rise in rankings, so Wlad is merely stopping a problem, before it starts! LOL

Are you ****ing serious?? Travis Walker, Chazz Witherspoon and Damien Wills makes you ready for Wlad.

    That's ludicrous.

How about banging these Arreola and Witherspoon types against a Rahman, or a Toney, or a Thomson, Barrett etc - true gatekeepers - to see if they can actually beat those guys before throwing them in against Waldo?

Young guys that haven't ever done **** fighting each other proves nothing.

    This fight is true garbage.

If Arreola told these sheep that he was the best, and photoshopped a picture of him holding Wlad's head... they would then think this is a mega fight.

Beating an old almost contender Monte Barrett in a very sloppy fight doesn't prove anything either. Especially considering that Monte Barrett was knocked out in two rounds by Cliff Couser not long before.

^^^that is a totally stupid comment. Monte was not in the top 10, nor was he in the form of his life for the fight...and besides that he put Haye on his ass. Haye will be ko'd by Vitali and will have to go back to cruiser..

Why are people treating Haye like he had no career before the Barrett fight. He fought very good guys at cruiserweight, but you all are making it sound like he is 1-0 in his career. He was undisputed champ, fought the man in the division, ko'd him in his back yard after holding the European belt for 4 or 5 fights. If it was a step up from a lower division to another in any weightclass but the heavies, it would be concesus that he is rightfully getting his shot.

This is a dumb move for Arreola.
He stands no chance against Wlad. The guy really sucks. He's going to get KOed badly in front of a large audience and no one will ever want to see hm again. He's better of fighting more bums and maybe getting into a nice competitive fight with another contender before he goes for (and fails at) the top.

It will be more competitive no doubt and Chris has a punchers chance against Wlad since his chin is suspect but I still see Wlad winning.

Chris arreola, is the real deal and I'd say has a great chance off bashing Wladimir.

His chin is solid, he's not scared of a battle and the guy can punch!

Wladimir like's to jab from the outside and i think that pertains to his dislike off fighting in close where it get's messy; I think the mexican/american, also is quite near Klitchko's strength which is very rare indeed.

Arreola would also want to fight and that is something most guy's dont want to do when they face the massive Ukranian for real, I think his upbringing in the SA neighbourhood's has created a steel inside him that would mean he'd be prepared to fight to the death.

Did he really? It looked more like he was off balance and not really hurt by that punch.
