and that he cannot box at all, thats just absolute crap. seriously if haye had average power he would of still become a world champion with skill alone.

His defense is built a lot around reflex and he is open at times but that is because he fights so offensively. He is a very good counter puncher, and his record in the amateurs proves he has more then just power. It is annoying when they knock a guy who is exiting simply because he doesn't look the defensive maestro. He's far from being just a crude brawler with a big punch, imo.

He most certainly is a banger, but he also has hand speed, quick foot work and good reflexes to boot. Haye has openly admitted that his defence is based on trying to make his opponents miss completely in order to wear them down. What stands him out amongst the HW division is that he is comfortable at fighting on both the front and the back foot.

Why would you hate other peoples opinions? it's just an opinion?

Do you really want everybody to agree with you opinion?

It makes no difference what Haye does, some people will always hate him.

I find it hard to imagine Haye lasting 12 in a tough fight

I also find it hard to envisage him KOing Vitali

So all in all he's got a job on IMO

He's certaily improving. I think his timing with single shots is good. His boxing brain is very good also. He's no p4p'er but I'd say he is improving all the time which means that one day he might be held in higher regard for his boxing skills.

Lets remember Bernard Hopkins was considered a crude slugger through most of his career. It was only after the Trinidad win that he started getting qudos for his boxing skills.

I would say Haye has the best set of skills of any current top class heavy. He certainly has better footwork than either Klit and I doubt anyone can compare his skill with guys like Arseholea, Sam and any American heavy. Maybe some of the eastern Europeeans are better in certain areas but they lack heart and are gay.

When have the americans ever liked a British fighter?

If Joe Louis was British they would say he was a bum.

Hayes power and size where his plus points and therefore a very big advantage down at Cruiserweight, now he is up with the big boys will his power be such a big factor?

What happens when he hits a true heavweight and they dont go anywhere?
