Actually he is 29. How old was Bernard before he beat anyone of note or got the recognition he deserved? About 36. :nono
And why? Kessler has called them all out over and over: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I1xsMVJJd0 He has shown he s one of the modern champs most willing to travel with 3 of his last 8 fights being on foreign soil and he has the European record for most spectators ever at an in-door boxing match - on foreign soil of course. He wants them. He is willing to fight. He is universally recognized as the man to beat at SMW. Now - tell me - why are the other guys avoiding him? Because let's be honest, they are!
then reply to my posts if you believe that. if you can't do that objectively then you're just saying what you want to be true - and not what you really believe to be true.
Kessler is a solid fighter, but he isn't great. A great fighter wouldn't have been completely dominated by Calzaghe. I really expected that fight to be more competitive at the time, but Calzaghe completely outboxed him. On the one hand though, Calzaghe has pretty much dominated every fighter he has fought, so can't really blame Kessler, but STILL, he didn't seem to be in the fight at all after a few rounds.
? Cazlaghe himself (!) said that Kessler is the only fighter where he wasn't sure he could win until round 7-8 when he felt Kessler tire. Kessler was ahead on the judges scorecards until round 7-8 as well, plus Kessler won round 12, so "completely dominated" makes it seem like you are talking out of your ass, a hater, or just hasn't seen the fight.
of course kessler isnt great but then again neither is calzaghe. its one thing saying calzaghe has pretty much dominated every fighter he has fought but great fighters are judged and made great by the proven world class fighters they beat in their prime. calzaghe has never done that once.
i live in denmark and, as i've said before, have ties to kessler. i watched the fight live and i'm pretty certain before round 7-8 that calzaghe had that fight tied up.
Kess has his weaknesses but he is head and shoulders above his rival belt holders at 68, lets hope he can secure the fights.
We can debate a lot of things, but the few times we actually have it from the fighters own mouthes we should be smart enough to know when to quit debating just for the sake of debating.
The rounds each fighter won were about all close rounds to my eyes. It was very competitive. Did Kessler miss 3 weeks sparring?
A Calzaghe talks shite all the time. B Calzaghe was scared to fight Lacy, his dad had to bring him round. C Calzaghe would be insane to run Kessler down as it is his best ever win.
