I noticed not so long back (before the malinaggi fight) that freddie roach was all for a fight with hatton as i think he thought it would be an easy fight. In the past few days i saw an interview with him saying that the hitman isnt at the top of the list for mannys next opponent anymore, he seems more open to fights with cotto and margarito at a catchweight. Whats this a sign of? Anyway in my opinion it'll be a helluva fight. 50/50.

Saying he was lucky is a bit of a toss. I am hoping Hatton can come good like he did against Paulie but it's gonna be hard for him. Pac is a complete wrecking machine

 Jeez, Hatton was having quick look at his opponent before going on to totally dominate Malinaggi. Its a tough crowd that finds faults with that performance.

    ???

One of the extremely obvious ways to offset Pacquiao is to collapse on him. Ever seen any of his fights?

Have you ever seen a fighter that's gone toe to toe with Hatton and won?

If it comes down to a balls out brawl, I'm backing the man with the proven power and chin at 140. Not to say Pac can't win, but if it's a fight in a phonebox, Pac's going to eat more hard shots than he's ever had to stomach before.

Morales pretty much went toe-to-toe with Pacquiao in their first fight, when some of the prime stuff was still left in him. He fought with controlled aggression, and that's what Floyd Sr. will be looking for.

If Hatton can apply constant pressure and get inside without soaking up too much coming in, he could win. Ricky would unleash body shots and short hooks more ferocious and powerful than Pacman has ever tasted which could wear the smaller man down. At the same time Manny could also win because with his speed and accuracy it is easy to visualise him running rings around Ricky, catching him coming in and remaining elusive and easily beating him on the outside. Should be an excellent stylistic fight. *****

i dont think it will be a blowout for pac. hatton is such a tough guy and physically stronger than pac. but still, i can see a late round stoppage in favor of pac

Hatton got KD twice against PBF both with left hand, single punch. Imagine what Pacman's left can do to Hatton.

Has anyone seen Pac fight well off the backfoot? that's what he'll have to do vs Hatton.

Pac has never beaten a pressure fighter as strong as Hatton though. I think it all depends on if Ricky can make the weight an issue, so far Manny sees to be a freak of nature, but Oscar didnt apply any real pressure to Pac and the fact that he was naturally bigger was irrelevent, Hatton is going to have to make every ounce count.

If Pac fits into light welter easily then there is only one winner because Hatton doesnt like speedy southpaws and if you add a punch and a workrate you have trouble for Ricky Hatton. If Hatton can get close and sink in some heavy body shots and bully Manny around then we could have a different outcome, Manny has been stopped before.

I dont think this fight is as easy to predict as some people think.
