what's up with Valuev's stomach? I know those two folds are not the protuberance of a six-pack... what the heck is that?
aside from his size Valuev looks like a regular Joe ....Holyfield is cut as usual....there is nothing new there. I think this one will look alot like Donald vs Holyfield where the old man hardly threw 2 punches per round and was outboxed badly. Valuev's got the reach and he will use it as he usually does ....its gonna be jab jab jab jab jab occasional right hand jab jab..
I have a feeling Valuev is going to get a knockout but if for some reaqson he wins on points let's see him and the midget Toney fight.
I watched Evander's fight with Ibragimov again but I can't say he has good chances.He looked really shot.Can't pull the trigger anymore.
I'd say these two have comparable power, Evander has skills on another level than Valuev, so the variable will be if Evander has enough stamina/energy level to show how much more skilled he is than Valuev. Cause I think Holy's skill, if he has enough energy at 46, will be enough to overcome Valuev's size advantage. Valuev is not Ibragimov, let us not forget. Ibragimov is a very good, fast, skilled and high output fighter. Valuev is a decent fighter, but nowhere near what Ibragimov is. Valuev just may get beaten tonight. I am actually expecting it. And if Evander wins the WBA, I would think he would be much more likely to unify with one of the K bros than the sheltered and protected Valuev will be.
These pictures were staged in such a way to make the height difference less noticeable. They did the same thing with Oscar and Manny throughout the press tour. Put the shorter man closer to the camera and angle the shots. There is about a foot height difference, one of the posters here has a great picture of the two staring down.
That was me who posted the staredown picture as well. None of the photos were staged, not even the Oscar vs Manny pictures. They are taken by the press... do you honestly think that the press is trying to make anything look less spectacular?:nono People are more interested in seeing a circus type of fight anyways, that is what draws interest in fights like this. It isn't as if people are going to be fooled into believing that Holyfield isn't that much smaller, and that will make them want to watch. People like watching something crazy.
Just shown my wife, she knows Evander is 6'1/6'2 and after my input she know believes that Valuev is 9'4. Women:-(
