What a ****ing joke. Holyfield was the clear winner... I should be awarded the points in the tipping comp and the TAB should be paying out on the result of Evander winning. Terrible fight, but Holyfield won by a mile. One of the WORST decisions I've ever seen, and I haven't seen anyone say otherwise...

That was just outright disgusting. Poor poor fight but to take a clear victory away from the old bugger like that is just plain wrong.

Can't do much about the TAB mate but you should definately get the win in the tipping comp.

Such a shame - the fight was a bus ticket away yet here i was watching it on TV with German coverage.

As much as it was a snooze fest, i would have loved to be there.

At the end of the fight I had it exactly even. an pure draw. Maybe u had different streams or camera angles but thats what I thought it was.

Holyfield was impressive and danced a lot but I dont think he did enough to take away a world title. Kudos to holyfield though, he would give most HW's a run for their money 4 sure.

At the end of the day the whole taking it away from the champion line is irrelevant. Each round is scored individually. Holyfield landed the much cleaner punches. Honestly, I think yours is the first opinion that has it close (not that there's anything wrong with that)...

Camera angles can't change the fact that Valuev never thru any punches, Holy fought the perfect fight for his age and size difference, and Made Valuev look ordinary because of his game plan.
It's a shame because Holy really deserved it especially everyone saying we would get hammered.

IMO it wasnt one-sided like everyone says it was. Im not a valuev or Holy fan, im nuetral (funny that Im in the neutral coutry too :p ) but yes I scored each round individually and feel it was a draw.

But as Ive said, Holy was impressive. fukn great form for a man his age. He just didnt put enough pressure on a target that struggled with his movement.

Holyfield clearly won. It's a shame that after being bagged throughout the week for still fighting at his age, and being labelled a fighter who is just fighting for a pay check, he could've silenced all his critics with a win today.

He did all he required to secure the title except get the nod from the judges which is an indictment on the sport based on the 12 rounds of action. Hope he gets an immediate rematch!

It's a sad indictment on the state of the division when one of the so called better fighters clearly gets beaten by a 46 year old man. Sure he's a legend, but he's clearly well past it. This is far different to Foreman beating Moorer.

Big George lost every round before catching Double MM with the one thing that never deserts you, your power. Holyfield boxed Yeti effectively and never let his feet get set. This was Hopkins v Pavlik on a much lower skill level.

I was only taking the **** with the TAB and Tips comment previously, the official results must be recognised, but I tell you what, I felt happy when that bell at the 12th rang, there wasn't a single doubt in my mind as to who had won.

The whole take it away from the champion thing is just rubbish anyway. Its not like the judges actually score the fight based on that criteria.

True. This title is there for the taking.

Would be interesting if Kali got a shot. But there'll be a stampede for him to get there ahead of.
